James McHugh Construction

North Ave Bridge Reconstruction

Bigane worked with McHugh on the unique design of the temporary bridge over the Chicago River, which was open for over 12 months.  The asphalt mix placed on the temporary timbers required minimal maintenance in spite of the heavy traffic patterns.  At the end of the job, Bigane placed an SMA mix on the bridge deck in lieu of the specified latex overlay.

F.H. Paschen Venture

Bigane Paving worked with FH Paschen to use an existing abandoned railroad bridge as a temporary runaround during the construction of the new bridge.  The bridge surface was paved with an high recycle HMA to provide improve the riding surface of the existing bridge deck.
